Terms & Conditions

1. Operator and agreement

Objection (the “Game”) and playobjection.com (the “Website”) are operated by the person named in the Impressum (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the Game or Website, you agree to these terms. Apple’s standard licensed-application terms also apply to an App Store download.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Game on a device you own or control for private, non-commercial play. The core Game is available free of charge; optional fixed, non-consumable Counsel Dossiers and consumable Case Files may be offered through the App Store.

3. Accounts

You may use a device-bound guest account or sign in with Apple or email. You must keep account credentials secure and provide accurate account information. Guest accounts cannot be recovered on another device. You may delete an account from Counsel Profile; the consequences and retained competitive records are explained in the account-deletion notice.

4. Ranked play and fair conduct

Ranked matches are resolved by the authoritative game service. Turn deadlines, disconnect timeouts, concessions and abandoned matches may decide a result and affect ratings. Matchmaking depends on other players being available, so an immediate opponent is not guaranteed.

Display names and conduct must not be unlawful, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, deceptive or abusive. You must not cheat, exploit bugs, automate play, manipulate matchmaking, impersonate another person, interfere with the service, or attempt to access another account. We may rename, restrict or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to protect players, match integrity or the service.

5. Cards, Case Files and virtual items

Cards, Case Files, Briefs, ratings and other in-game items are virtual, non-transferable and have no cash value. Case Files can be earned through play or bought as consumable purchases. Each Case File contains five randomized card rewards, with at least one Admitted-or-better card, duplicate protection while eligible cards remain, and exact rarity odds, guarantees and duplicate values published in the Game before purchase. Excess duplicates become Briefs for crafting.

Optional Counsel Dossiers are non-consumable purchases with fixed, fully disclosed contents. They contain no randomized items, do not guarantee competitive power, and their gameplay cards remain earnable or craftable without payment. The localized price in Apple’s purchase sheet is authoritative. A recoverable Apple or email account is required so purchases can be verified and non-consumable Dossiers restored.

Case Files are consumable and cannot be restored after use. For each Case File transaction, the verified Apple quantity from one through ten multiplies the disclosed bundle size exactly. On a partial refund, we apply Apple’s percentage to the transaction’s original Case File grant, round the result to a whole Case File and remove no more than its unconsumed balance; on a full refund or a legacy Apple refund without a percentage, we remove all of that transaction’s unconsumed Case Files. Case Files already opened remain recorded as consumed. If Apple reverses the refund or revocation, exactly the number previously removed is restored once. Apple processes payment, refunds and applicable storefront rights. If Apple refunds or revokes a transaction for a Dossier, the related Dossier entitlement may be removed.

6. Availability and updates

We may update, rebalance, maintain, suspend or discontinue the Game or an online feature. We do not promise that multiplayer, accounts or the Website will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We will not remove rights that mandatory law gives you.

7. Intellectual property

The Game and Website, including their artwork, writing, rules presentation, software and branding, are owned by us or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may share ordinary screenshots or gameplay videos for personal commentary and community discussion, provided you do not imply our endorsement or misuse another person’s data.

8. Prohibited technical use

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, modify or redistribute the Game except where applicable law expressly allows it. You may not bypass security, overload the service, distribute malicious code or use the Game or Website for an unlawful purpose.

9. Liability

We remain liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and liability required by mandatory law. For slight negligence involving an essential contractual duty, liability is limited to the foreseeable loss typical for this kind of free digital service. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms when the Game or legal requirements change. The current version and revision date will remain available here. German law applies, without taking away mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
